Job Description

Sienna Investment Managers is changing its finance organisation with the creation of an accounting team in Paris to be in charge of consolidation and accounting management.

Sienna Investment Managers has prepared for the first time a full set of financial statements under IFRS as of 31 December 2023 for around 30 entities and an IFRS consolidated reporting package as of 31 December 2023 of GBL Capital for the purpose of the preparation of the consolidated financial statement of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert.

In this context, Sienna is looking for a Senior Accounting and Consolidation Manager to strengthen its team in Paris. As a Senior Accounting and Consolidation Manager, you will be managing directly the external accounting firm based in Paris on all accounting and fiscal topics. You will be working directly with the Head of consolidation, based in Luxembourg, to support the development of the consolidation activities, and in close collaboration with the Head of Finance based in Paris.

In terms of hierarchy, you will be reporting directly to the Group CFO with a functional reporting to the head of consolidation on consolidation-related topics. You will be joining a dynamic team with a great work atmosphere and be a strong contributor of the finance organisation change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assistance in the preparation of the consolidation instructions in coordination with controlling and accounting teams under the supervision of the Head of consolidation;
  • Manage and drive the externalised accounting teams of Group entities in the French perimeter;
  • Coordinate data collections with the entities within the French perimeter;
  • Monitoring of IFRS compliance;
  • Review, analyze and challenge information received from the Group entities to be used for consolidation;
  • Assistance in the intercompany reconciliation process;
  • Assistance in the preparation of consolidation adjustments;
  • Assistance in the preparation of the annual Goodwill impairment tests;
  • Assistance in the preparation of a first full set of Consolidated Financial Statements under IFRS;
  • Prepare audit support files and liaise with external auditors;
  • Assistance in the preparation of the consolidated reporting package of GBL Capital including the preparation for the first time of a consolidated cash-flows statement and disclosures;
  • Assistance to prepare analysis and reconciliations of portfolio NAV of GBL Capital;
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the consolidation process and streamline reporting procedures;
  • Help implement best practices and automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy;
  • Contribute to internal projects.
Qualifications

✓ 7+ years of experience gained preferably in the Asset Management industry or audit firm preferably big 4, with a strong focus on financial consolidation, reporting, and accounting under IFRS.

✓ ACCA or equivalent qualification.

✓ Prior experience in the preparation of consolidated accounts.

✓ Positive “can-do” attitude and team-work essential.

✓ Capacity to manage and drive an external accounting team.

✓ Rigorous, with high attention to details.

✓ Curious and proactive, taking initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in deliverables, processes and organization.
