DescriptionSenior Manufacturing ManagerChester Township, PA Production ControlDescriptionResponsible for leading production areas for the Chemring Countermeasures USA site in Aston, PA. This role requires an experienced leader that can effectively direct and motivate teams while driving safety, performance, and accountability. Drive the team to meet KPI’s, production rates and quality objectives to meet customer requirements and financial goals. Work with technical staff to improve efficiency and throughput by utilizing key 6 Sigma tools.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSAssists in creating and maintaining a culture where safety is top priority.Manages the operations for an 80,000 sq ft manufacturing site.Responsible to manage all aspects of production including a diverse team of managers, supervisors and technical staff across multiple shifts, 18 hr/5 day operations.Trains and mentors assigned teams to advance in high-performance teamwork and operational excellence.Participates in operational planning to achieve on-time delivery and accurate production forecasting for all product lines without compromising safety or quality.Develops planning methodologies to improve operational efficiencies without compromising safety or quality.Develops and employs strategies to improve overall equipment effectiveness and manufacturing productivity.Works with HR to assess, develop, and manage staffing models that drive efficiency and productivity across production areas.Models and promotes a high standard of ethical behavior while advancing the corporate values of Safety, Excellence, and Innovation.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSSpecial projects and other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYServes as an example of principles detailed in ASC’s Code of Conduct.Directly manages production and technical supervisors and managers.RequirementsEDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or other related discipline preferred.Two year technical or Associate’s Degree required.Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.EXPERIENCETen years of experience in a leadership role with increasing level of responsibility.Seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONSLeading Operations in an environment that requires a “Safety First” attitude.
