We are looking for a (
Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d) to join one of our offices in
Warsaw, Porto, Santiago de Compostela, Wissembourg, or Ettlingen (hybrid work model).
Responsibilities
(Senior) Legal Counsel reporting to the Head of Legal of the Bruker BioSpin Group with the following tasks:
Responsible for legal support of the Software Division of the BBIO Group (SciY) for all legal matters, with a focus on contracting, software licensing, software reselling or distribution and collaborationsResponsible for legal support of Corporate ITProviding legal guidance on AI-related business initiativesBackup for other team members of the BBIO Legal Department for general legal mattersResponsible for managing legal disputesLegal researchPreparation and execution of trainingsIf required: Coordination with the legal departments of the other Groups (CALID / BNANO / BEST) and with BRKRInstruction and supervision of external lawfirmsCoordination with Compliance / Privacy for cross-functional topicsContact person within the BBIO Legal Department for any questions related to software and licensing, including in-licensing and procurement of software and services Qualifications
Master’s degree in Law and admission to the bar in an EU countryAt least 5 years of post-bar experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel within an international environmentStrong expertise in software licensing, sales, and distributionExcellent legal drafting skills, including experience with end-user license agreements, SaaS contracts, and general service agreementsExperience with AI and large language models (LLMs) and understanding of related legal challenges Familiarity with the AI Act and similar current or upcoming AI-related legislation Knowledge of public tender businessAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365Fluent English (min C1 Level) and advanced German language skills would be advantageousIndependent and proactive working style with strong problem-solving abilitiesResilience and ability to handle challenging situationsExcellent communication skills and assertivenessOutstanding organizational and time management skillsStrong team player
