Job Description As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will report to the Civil Engineering Group Leader of one of our key partners responsible for the safety of the overall UK Nuclear fleet. You will support our energy transition mission throughout the Sizewell C project and take responsibility for managing the review, acceptance, and management of technical issues and requirements on behalf of a specific scope, ensuring appropriate implementation and compliance to meet Sizewell C project needs, including the safety case and UK context (regulations & codes). Your main responsibilities are: Intelligent customer role Risk management Review and acceptance of design packages (drawings, calculations, Design Substantiation Report, Mesto statement) Client Engineering/High level Assurance of Nuclear civil engineering design Defence/approval of nuclear safety case substantiation CDM 2015 principal designer Manage stakeholders Qualifications Several years of strong design experience in Reinforced/Prestressed Concrete/Steelwork, preferably in nuclear Chartered civil/structural engineer Experience in high hazard design requirements - e.g seismic, blast, fire, tornado Experience in CDM 2015 use Experience in large design projects UK based Client-side experience Able to travel to Gloucester, London, Bristol when required Additional Information Regular travels between Gloucester, London, and Bristol are required in this position.
