p Fisher Investments Luxembourg (FIL) Senior Accountants are important and valued members of the Corporate Accounting team. The FIL Senior Accountant is responsible for solving highly analytical problems to assist FIL reporting and will keep Fisher's corporate group accounting records updated and in accordance with accounting standards. You will help maintain the integrity of accounting ledgers, which provide important information for senior leadership and for producing the firm's financial statements, tax returns and regulatory filings and ensure timely responses to internal and external questions and lead responses to financial auditors and regulators. /pp br /strongThe Opportunity: /strong /p p Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will meaningfully contribute to the finance group's financial regulatory filings and annual audits, being the main contact for auditors. /pp br /strongThe Day-to-Day: /strong /pul data-pm-slice="3 3 ()"lip Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities /p /lilip Responsible for overseeing and preparation financial regulatory filings /p /lilip Act as the main point of contact for ad-hoc financial regulatory requests /p /lilip Conduct research on applicable regulatory standards /p /lilip Prepare schedules for quarterly reviews, semi-annual reports and annual audits /p /lilip Create and analyze corporate financial statements /p /lilip Serve as a liaison between the firm and outside CPA firms /p /lilip Automate and improve existing processes and methodologies /p /lilip Work with the Finance team to implement a broad range of projects to support the firm's long-term strategic goals /p /lilip Coordinate efforts with other applicable groups across the Fisher group of companies (the “strongFisher Group /strong”) (e.g. finance, legal and compliance and internal audit) /p /li /ulp strongYour Qualifications: /strong /pullip Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field /p /lilip Accounting qualification (CPA/CA) preferred /p /lilip Experience with European/UK regulatory bodies preferred /p /lilip 5+ years progressive accounting experience /p /lilip Be autonomous, work with others, and exercise judgement /p /lilip Outside-the-box thinking and offer solutions /p /lilip Effective at navigating ambivalence and change /p /lilip Pro-active approach to troubleshooting and ability to seek appropriate assistance rapidly /p /lilip Proficient with MS Excel/Word /p /lilip Ability to enforce policies/procedures /p /lilip Understanding of the regulatory framework in which FIL operates /p /li /ulp strongWhy Fisher Investments Luxembourg: /strong /p p The global Fisher organisation distinguishes itself by putting clients first, providing unmatched service, and taking a personalised approach to investing.
