Now through December 2024, CFF is offering a $250 sign on bonus to be paid on the paycheck following 6 months of employment.*Bonus amounts could be prorated based on number of hours workedPosition Description:Child and Family Focus has partnered with DCIU to provide intensive behavioral and mental health supports to students placed in DCIU Aston Education Center, and The County Alternative High School (TCA). The position of the School Based Behavioral Technician will work with CFF team as well as DCIU teachers and staff in the classrooms to facilitate behavioral management and modification techniques. This position will work along with the students identified behavioral plans in an effort to decrease identified challenging behaviors. This is a 10-month position. The school day work hours are 7:30am-3pm M-F.Qualifications:Individuals who provide Individual Services through Intensive Behavioral Health Counseling services shall meet one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, sociology, education, criminal justice, or other related human services fieldOR a Licensed Registered Nurse a. PLUS one (1) year verified full-time paid experience working in direct care with children/adolescentsOR a Bachelor’s degree in another field a. PLUS one (1) year verified full-time paid experience working in direct care with children/adolescentsOR an Associate’s degree or sixty (60) credits toward a bachelor’s degree a. PLUS three (3) years verified full-time paid work experience working in direct care with children/adolescentsJob Responsibilities:Provide 1-to-1 support to the child, as well as educational team to address the therapeutic needs of the child, youth, or young adult using behavioral interventions and strategies as outlined in the student’s behavioral plan in the school setting.Support problem-solving and skill development of the child, youth, or young adult.Instruct children on how to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations.Support the development of improved decision-making skills to manage behavior.Assist with the development of social skills and socially acceptable behaviors.Instruct on stress reduction techniques.Collect behavioral data.Collaborate with team members including but not limited to: CFF School Based Outpatient team at DCIU, CFF School Based Behavioral Health team, DCIU administrators and educators, outside service providers, and parents/caregivers.Consult and obtain supervision biweekly.Submit necessary proof of service delivery and billing documentation within the required timeframe.Document case activity using an EMR system within the required timeframe.Participate in group supervisions monthly.Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, Empowerment.Complete other duties as assigned.Work Environment:Work within a school setting at DCIU Aston Educational Center, and The County Alternative High School.Compensation and Benefits:Starting pay rate of $18 an hourAdditional pay for ESY summer hours workedAnnual Salary IncreasePublic Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)Medical and Vision Benefits offered on first day of employment, 3 plan options offered by Independence Blue CrossDental Benefits offered on first day of employment, 2 plan options offered by GuardianAncillary Benefits offered on first day of employment, such as Accident, Critical Illness, Cancer, Short Term DisabilityLong Term Disability and $50,000 Life Insurance Policy provided by CFF9 Paid Holidays7 days of Paid Time Off to use throughout the school yearPaid Parental LeaveTuition Reimbursement401K plan with company match and profit sharingMileage and Expense reimbursement for travel and trainingClearance Reimbursement*Bonus amounts could be prorated based on number of hours workedCFF is an equal opportunity and drug-free employer.
