We are looking for bright, confident, and free-spirited people to join our team!What You'll DoThe Guest Service Agent is responsible for handling registration, check-out, PBX operations, mail, and message services while providing exceptional guest service. They will advocate for the hotel, create unique experiences, and build strong relationships with guests to encourage their return.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information.Complete all items on appropriate (AM, PM, Overnight) checklist by end of shift.Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPS, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests.Follow established key control policy.Submit all lost found articles accompanied by a completed lost found report.Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank which involves counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions occurring while on duty.Review daily the selling status of the hotel using yield management system.Attend department meeting once a month.Communicate by telephone and/or radio with other departments: Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.What You Bring1 year experience in a similar role at luxury/lifestyle hotel.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Experience with Opera is a must and experience with HotSOS, Alice and Kipsu is preferred.Ability to verbally communicate effectively and professionally.Work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time.Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a constant level of integrity.Skillful in verbal and written communication, with phenomenal customer service and attention to detail.Familiar with hotel systems and operations, and the ability to enter in information accurately.Ability to lift 30 pounds.This position requires a flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.The hourly pay range for this role is $8 to $11 USD plus gratuities.
