Principal Consultant – Digital Transformation (Retail Sector)

We are seeking experienced Principal Consultants to join a leading global technology and consulting organization. This position is based onsite in Lyon and will focus on driving Digital Advisory and Digital Transformation programs for major retail clients.

The role requires a blend of digital program management, strategic advisory, and consultative leadership skills to help clients deliver large-scale transformation initiatives that enhance customer experience, digital commerce, and marketing performance.

This role would suit a senior-level digital transformation leader who combines both strategic consulting capability and hands-on program delivery experience, someone who can advise C‑suite clients and drive execution across large-scale digital programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end digital transformation programs within the retail sector.
• Provide digital advisory and strategy consulting to senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Define and execute digital program management frameworks to ensure successful delivery.
• Partner with client leadership to translate digital roadmaps into measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate across global delivery and consulting teams to align business and technology execution.
• Mentor and guide teams to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience delivering digital transformation and advisory programs.
• Consultancy experience would be nice to have.
• Strong background in digital strategy, program management, and client advisory.
• Proven ability to manage complex transformation programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Expertise in digital commerce, customer engagement, and marketing ecosystems.
• Fluent in English; French fluency is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Must be based in Lyon and able to work 100% onsite.
