h3Postdoc on Nano-fertilizers for plant nutrition using Laser ablation ICP MS /h3pWe are looking for an enthusiastic postdoc candidate to join two research projects in the Plant Nutrition group. Our research objective is to provide knowledge, which can be used to increase the sustainability of agriculture, by conducting both basic and applied research to increase the ability of plants to acquire essential plant nutrients. In the recent five years, the research group has worked towards this objective through fundamental studies on how nanoparticles can be tailored to interact with plant tissue and thereby improve the uptake and assimilation of essential mineral ions. The vision is to provide a scientific basis for the next generation of fertilizers to improve nutrient use efficiency in crops for the benefit of farmers economy, environment and climate. /ppThe advertised position is focused on doing research within plant nutrition by nano-materials using our high-end analytical platform, including our top-notch laser ablation ICP-MS facility. The ideal applicant should have experience using laser ablation ICP-MS and should be skilled in the required sample preparation. The applicant should also have experience with plant cultivation and application and manufacturing of nano-particles. The candidate should be able to work independently, but also have experience working in larger research consortia where industrial partners are involved. The postdoc will be involved in two research project and will spend half of his/her time on each of the two projects. The first project is a Danish-funded project with industrial partners, where good communication skills are required to breach the gap between science and industry.
