As part of its expansion, Amarenco is looking for a Performance Engineer. Reporting to the Head of Design and Performance Engineering, you will be involved in optimising the design of photovoltaic power plants (including electricity) and studying project deliverability on behalf of Amarenco's Solar PV and Agri PV business lines. You will also be involved in the technical review phase of PV project portfolios as part of financing or divestment programmes. Joining the Engineering department as a Performance Engineer (M/F), you will carry out the following tasks: Keeping abreast of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards within the company, as well as the specific Quality and HSE requirements of the projects you work on; Act as the technical contact with expertise in the systems, design and performance of photovoltaic power plants; Coordinate actions with other project stakeholders (e.g. development project managers, construction project managers, financial analysts, electrical engineers, etc.); Prepare clear and concise documentation, including technical specifications, study guides, calculation notes and technical reports; Analyse or coordinate the analysis of technical and contractual files relating to PV projects in the development phase, in calls for expressions of interest or in response to calls for tenders, in order to identify risks and opportunities and deploy appropriate mitigation solutions; Protect the Company's interests in the technical appraisal phases of PV project portfolios as part of financing or divestment programmes; Carry out, or have carried out, the calculations required to draw up the documents issued under your responsibility for the entire project life cycle (origination, development, financing, construction, operation and maintenance); Guarantee the results of project performance analysis studies, whether carried out internally or externally, by carrying them out or checking them; Participate in the technical qualification of suppliers of equipment (e.g. PV modules) or technical services relating to project performance; Participate in the continuous feedback of each project and ensure the deployment of the resulting actions at all levels; Monitor standards in the field of performance engineering, apply the results of this monitoring to the Company's best practices and incorporate them into the contractual documents in which you participate; Maintain a continuous technical and technological watch in the field of performance engineering to propose solutions for the technical and economic optimisation of know-how at a given point in time and to anticipate future developments in the business. The position is based in Lagrave or Toulouse. With 5 years‘ higher education in engineering or equivalent (generalist and/or with a specialisation in energy management), you will have 2 years’ successful experience in performance engineering. The position requires solid experience in preparing technical documents and the ability to translate engineering issues into economic competitiveness assumptions (LCOE). You will need to excel at analysis and decision-making in a fast-changing environment, and have good time management skills while working with multicultural teams. Advanced knowledge of PVSYST and HELIOS 3D is essential. Occasional travel in France and Europe is to be expected.
