People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job Description:Reporting to the Principal Process Engineer, you will be part of the design engineering team as a “Product Engineer” specialized in power modules assembly.You will manage product transfer from our design center to the manufacturing sites (Offshore).Your mission will be to develop fabrication methods and to document SOW (Statement Of Work) based on fabrication techniques defined by the process team (for more repeatability, better productivity, and improved yields) What’s attractive about this opportunity? As leader of new product introduction, main objective is to ensure that the products are manufactured as defined by R&D (product specification and process) and within operational goals (yield, cycle time, cost, quality…)This position will allow you to:Check and approve drawings and instructions from R&DDefine assembly methods and procedures based upon instructions from R&D and process.Define assembly instructions.Define assembly tooling needs, participate, and validate their design and procure the material.Supervise the assembly of first parts.Provide feedback to R&D and supervise FAE (First Article Evaluation) for first production manufacturing.You will also be involved in product manufacturing transfer:Procure requested assembly tools.Develop competencies of subcontractors mainly based in Philippines (manufacturing methods transfer, SoW verification and approval, operators training, audits). Business trip on regular basis.Follow up on first parts assembly and approve FAE reports.You will also participate to transverse activities like (support activities):Train, maintain and improve knowledge of prototype assembly operators.Participate in the evaluation and incoming inspection of new material.Follow up the manufacturing data, participate in the rejects analysis to increase production yields (quality meeting).Participate in failure analysis and implement corrective actions when appropriate.Define and implement actions to maintain products within manufacturing life cycle.Organize the maintenance of manufacturing equipment (test not included).Schedule and record calibration of equipment’s for control, measure, and trials (except test). Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications and ExperienceBac +5 or equivalent (sciences & technologies)Nice to have knowledge regarding power modules and electronic circuits manufacturing techniques.Good level in English (spoken and written)At Microchip, employees are our greatest strength.
