The Team
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will join the Medical Affairs team covering key areas in East, West and North of France with the ideal candidate being based in the Paris area. This position will play a pivotal role in KOL/KEE management and supporting medical projects within our organisation for our new groundbreaking innovative drug in the infectious diseases specialty care therapeutic area. The role will establish medical leadership by fostering key relationships with HCPs. This involves gathering crucial scientific insights to shape strategy, delivering advanced medical/clinical training, and serving as the primary resource for scientific exchange and medical inquiries.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop a list of healthcare professionals including key external experts (KEE), a strategic medical action plan for the territory.
- Share new clinical and preclinical data and medical news data on the therapeutic field with healthcare professionals, discussing all aspects of the data in a scientific, objective and balanced manner.
- Work with KEE/HCP as a partner in scientific activities that help advance the understanding of pathologies such as:
- Identify potential speakers and review the scientific data to prepare them, if necessary.
- Interact with the medical community in the context of various medical projects, such as clinical trials, investigator‑initiated trials (IITs), scientific exchange meetings, etc.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries about Mundipharma products, including products in development, in a timely, objective and scientifically balanced manner.
- Integrate scientific knowledge with knowledge gained from scientific interactions with healthcare professionals and provide the Mundipharma organization with an understanding of the local medical community, trends in clinical practice and real or perceived scientific gaps in current scientific knowledge and data on medical treatments and products.
- Where appropriate, provide medical and scientific expertise in the therapeutic area to internal stakeholders, including therapeutic management of the pathology and product training to commercial colleagues.
- Keep up to date with the latest scientific knowledge and developments in defined areas of expertise, in particular through participation in structured training programs.
What you’ll bring
- Doctorate in Medicine, Pharmacy or PhD in a scientific field (Infectiology would be ideal).
- Relevant prior professional experience as an MSL (training and/or experience in the field of infectious diseases would be an asset).
- Strong personal integrity and HCP orientation.
- Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a cross‑functional team.
- Good understanding of the relevant disease area(s).
- Patient‑centered (demonstrates a passion for patients through experiences).
- A proven track record of demonstrating values and working methods that directly align with Mundipharma’s core values and support the overall business strategy.
- Integrity and high ethical standards.
- Capable of communicating effectively at all levels and presenting scientific concepts with clarity and simplicity.
