Our client, a iGaming provider, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Legal Director to lead their legal department. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and mitigating legal risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the iGaming sector and a deep understanding of international gaming laws and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the company’s legal strategy, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide expert legal advice to senior management and stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, and corporate legal matters.
• Monitor and interpret changes in iGaming legislation and regulatory frameworks to ensure the company remains compliant.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, partnerships, and supplier contracts.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, external counsel, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee corporate governance, data protection, and risk management strategies.
• Support dispute resolution and litigation matters as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree and admission to a recognized association.
• Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the iGaming industry - from the provider (B2B) side
• Strong knowledge of iGaming regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
• Experience managing relationships with regulatory authorities.
• Proven ability to develop and implement legal strategies that align with business goals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
