APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY – APPRENTICE LEGAL COUNSEL – EMEA REGION Location: Rueil-Malmaison, France Duration: 1 year Start date: September 2025 (or to be agreed) Position OverviewWe are looking for a motivated Apprentice Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Legal Department. Based in Rueil-Malmaison, you will work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel – EMEA to support legal matters and associated processes across the EMEA region.You will take part in a variety of legal activities, including contract review and drafting, preliminary negotiations, document management, and legal follow-up. This role also offers exposure to business-related legal issues in areas such as data privacy, clinical studies, distributor relationships, and commercial operations.You will be fully involved in regional legal projects, providing meaningful contributions to the team. Key ResponsibilitiesData Privacy:Support GDPR and local data protection compliance effortsParticipate in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Data Processing Agreements (DPA), and conduct first-step analysis of business initiatives from a privacy standpointClinical Studies:Assist with agreements involving Healthcare Organizations (HCO), Healthcare Professionals (HCP), and Contract Research Organizations (CRO)Review consent forms and help evaluate clinical projectsDistributor Relations:Review distribution agreements, draft amendments, termination letters, and other business-related documentsCommercial Operations:Assist with legal risk assessments and provide support on tender-related legal mattersProject Involvement:Actively participate in internal legal projects initiated by the EMEA Legal Department Required QualificationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsFluent English (spoken and written) is essentialExcellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindsetHighly organized and able to manage multiple prioritiesProactive and responsive to business needsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams✅ Desired ProfileCurrently completing a Master 1 in Law, ideally with a specialization in healthcare law; commercial law, data privacy, or contract law also consideredAny relevant educational or professional experience is a plusKnowledge of the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is advantageousAdditional language skills, especially German or Italian, are a plus
