SUMMARY The International Sales Manager supports all sales efforts of Jelly Belly Europe Ltd. in assigned territory. Together with the Intl. Business Manager Europe, the Manager will oversee all retail channels - specialty, mass market and non-traditional, with focus on France ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Is familiar with and has experience calling on and dealing with the key customers. Provides liaison between the client network, brokers, and our company with regard to pricing, invoicing, promotional dates, activities, etc. Supports to maintain and develop a customer/wholesaler network in the markets Jelly Belly Europe supplies directly. Recommends and participates in international, national and regional trade shows. Maintains and submits sales activity reports on a regular basis. Researches the market; defines and implements new customers/channels. Assists clients in special displays and/or programs dictated by their sales circumstances. Helps to develop and maintain sales promotion programs in area of responsibility. Provides forecasts in volumes and dollars for both every day and seasonal items. Ensures that all appropriate clients are supplied with product samples. Corresponds with each key account/channel monthly regarding their product sales and needs. Conducts and participates in sales meetings. Performs store checks, assists in new store sets, and reports on pricing and display quality. Will be able to manage all customer service tasks for French customers and may support customer service upon request. Performs other duties as required. Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. Regular, predictable, full time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Flexibility due to different markets covering different time zones (within Europe, Thailand factory and US headquarters). Ability to work under pressure. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.A.); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalency of education could possibly fulfill formal degree requirements. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Native fluency in French , working knowledge of English. Other European languages are a plus. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to analyze Region and Account specific P&L’s, calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel; Training will be provided in order to work with the M3 system.
