BDO Canada is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights. This is a replacement role where the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:
Prepare compilation engagements, in addition to corporate tax returns for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprisesBuilding effective working relationships with client contacts and responding effectively to client requestsPreparation of trust returns and trust working papersPreparation of tax returns (T1s, T2s, T4s, T5s,GST/HST and charity returns)Ensuring that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Manager/Partner, as well as keeping them informed of the progress of the engagementFollowing up with appropriate government agencies on questions relating to payroll, assessments, GST, business numbers, etcHow do we define success for your role?

Currently working towards you CPA designationYou have a degree and/or diploma in accounting, finance or relevant field.You have 1+ years of accounting experience in the public accounting industry or relevant work experienceYou have experience with compilations, and preparing tax returnsYou value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed workYou display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
