The organization is known for its cutting-edge propulsion systems for small satellites and has a proven track record of delivering high-performance hardware for clients across Europe, the US, and Asia.

Required skills (minimum expected level 1–10)

  • Advanced topologies (buck, boost, flyback, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge, LLC, resonant): Min 8/10
  • Magnetic design (inductors, transformers): Min 8/10
  • Efficiency analysis (energy efficiency evaluation): Min 8/10
  • Stability analysis (control loop design, Bode plot, phase/gain margin): Min 8/10
  • Selection and sizing of power semiconductors (MOSFET, IGBT, GaN, SiC): Min 7/10
  • Thermal management (dissipation, cooling, packaging): Min 7/10
  • Loss modeling and efficiency optimization: Min 6/10
  • Use of advanced measurement tools (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, phase loop tester, etc.): Min 8/10

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Create and refine advanced electronic hardware components, including PCB design, analogue and digital circuit development, and power management systems tailored for space propulsion applications.
  • Develop and execute rigorous testing procedures to validate hardware performance and reliability under extreme conditions.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment for troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing electronic systems.
  • Ensure electronics requirements are defined and properly followed, according to the global product design needs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of hardware design processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices in the aerospace industry.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—mechanical, software, industrialization engineers and physicists—to ensure seamless integration of hardware components within complete propulsion systems.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Masters degree in electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics design, including complex schematic diagrams.
  • Software development skills, with experience in creating small Arduino scripts or modifying existing software to autonomously test hardware designs is an asset.
  • Ability to build prototypes and debug them.
  • Background in design, simulation, prototyping and testing of power converters or similar.
