DHL Global Forwarding is part of the DHL Group and consists of five divisions: DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight, DHL Supply Chain, and DHL Post Parcel.Head of OMS (Order Management Solutions) FranceIn this role, you report directly to the Head of Ocean Freight France.Role Purpose:Operations:Pursue service excellence, optimum productivity, profitability, and effective use of resources within your direct team as well as any indirect Global Service Center (GSC) Team allocated to your business.Provide overall strategic leadership and allocate resources effectively to ensure operational excellence.Motivate staff through effective leadership, promoting a spirit of teamwork and career-pathing.Build strong relationships with customers to maintain and/or increase business through a true partnership.Act as a senior point of contact and/or escalation for customers.Coach, lead, and teach operational processes and excellence while utilizing internal and external tools, best practices, and quality guidelines.Maintain a constant drive to improve DHL processes in line with global goals while looking for ways to improve productivity.Actively engage with the implementation of new customers in conjunction with the Customer Implementation, Business Solutions, and IT teams.Promote new functionality for current customers in conjunction with the Customer Implementation, Business Solutions, and IT teams.Ensure processes, KPIs, and customer expectations are followed.Ensure customers are kept profitable.Business Development:Develop and maintain a strategy for expanding OMS business in France.Create a plan for developing new business and create an active pipeline of new customers.Direct the RFP process for customers within stated responsibility.Manage the sales pipeline through appropriate CRM resources.Contribute towards country/regional budget by consistently delivering new customer wins.Contribute towards team objectives while also providing input into strategic direction.Qualifications:Excellent understanding of Supply Chain Management, PO Management, 3PL / 4PL service types, finance, and processes.Substantial knowledge of all supply chain products – Origin, Freight, DC, Transport, Visibility Systems, and good working knowledge of Contract Logistics (DC and Transport) operations.Fully capable of executing at each stage of the sales cycle – initial relationship development, basic solutions design, systems demonstrations/expertise, presentation building, value proposition construction, and gaining senior executive buy-in.Ability to develop and communicate (internally and externally) complex and integrated commercial solutions at a high level.Assertive and able to influence others, team player, with strong communication, presentation, and training skills.Strong communicator and negotiator.Project management experience is a large plus, including driving new systemic solutions.Experience of developing international solutions for global customers working at a senior/board level.Strong analytical skills combined with a systematic problem-solving approach.Competency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.Cross-cultural competence.Interested?The position is a permanent full-time employment.
