Head of Construction – Fastned (France)

As our Construction Lead France, you’ll be at the forefront of building a cleaner, faster world, steering our local Construction Management team to deliver cutting‑edge fast‑charging stations across the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage the local construction team, including day‑to‑day duties, performance reviews, coaching, and recruiting.
• Create an engaging, performance‑driven culture for the team.
• Coordinate with the Country Director, Lead Architect and Expansion Lead to ensure project timelines are met and budgets respected.
• Collaborate with other Construction Leads and the Director of Construction Management to standardise practices across countries.
• Develop strategies for national suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders (highway authorities, grid operators, etc.).
• Report on project status, reduce bottlenecks, and anticipate future challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Electrical or civil engineering a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (not limited to construction).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking, vision, and ability to inspire teams.
• Organisational and process‑improvement skills.
• Analytical, structured approach and stress resilience.
• Negotiation and stakeholder management expertise.
• Near‑native French and fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s licence.
