Head of Accounting & Tax France at HENSOLDT in France

As Head of Accounting & Tax France, you will lead all national accounting and tax operations, ensuring excellence in financial compliance, reporting, and risk control. You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance & Controlling France and the Finance Director France, forming the core of our national Financial Management Team.

You’ll also collaborate directly with Group Accounting and Tax functions, playing a pivotal role in aligning French operations with group‑wide processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting (statutory & IFRS)
• Manage end‑to‑end monthly and annual closing processes and financial audits
• Lead tax compliance and manage tax audits in close partnership with Group Tax
• Lead treasury and safety of payment related transactions
• Drive internal control systems and risk reporting implementation and application
• Participate in key bids and EAC reviews, identifying financial and tax risks
• Support investment business cases and impairment reviews
• Coordinate intercompany financing structures with Group Treasury
• Act as key user for FI/CO ERP modules and lead accounting digitalization
• Ensure accounting operations performance including GL, AP, AR, assets, and master data
• Propose performance improvements such as tasks’ automatization, simplification and digitalisation
• Support and lead special projects (e.g., ERP implementation)

Your Profile

Experience :

• 5–10 years Head of Accounting & Tax or equivalent leadership role within a long‑term contracts’ environment (e.g., defense, aerospace, infrastructure)
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks
• Experience with ERP systems and Information Systems related transitions

Education

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• French Chartered Accountant certification (DEC) a plus

Languages

• Fluent in French and English mandatory
• German is a plus
