This role involves managing physical resources, test technicians, and engineers engaged in specialized phases of activities involving one or more engineering disciplines. The Test Manager will lead complex technical analyses, finalize proposals, and proactively develop measures to achieve goals and increase customer satisfaction. This position is based in Varennes, Quebec, where Hitachi Energy is constructing a new test lab.How You’ll Make an Impact / Votre impactManage test operations at IREQ and the new Varennes factory.Schedule and assign test engineers to witness tests at IREQ.Coordinate with factory planning and provide feedback on progress.Negotiate technical issues with customers and resolve conflicts.Provide complex technical advice related to contract or project performance guarantees.Participate in the construction of the test lab at Varennes factory.Promote independent actions to improve operating efficiencies and customer relations.Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards.Your Background / Votre expérienceBachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in power transformer testing.Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience in power transformer testing for senior level.Minimum of four years of personnel management experience.Intensive knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, IEC standards for power and regulating transformers.Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Level certification is desirable.Expertise in troubleshooting test issues and utilizing root cause analysis tools.Proficiency in computer skills including drawing systems, SAP, and MS Office.More About UsAt Hitachi Energy, our purpose is to advance a sustainable energy future for all!
