Our FCA EMEA team of around 140 professionals is embarking on an exciting journey towards achieving ambitious goals, and we are seeking a talented individual who shares our passion for excellence and innovation.You will have the opportunity to implement and supervise structured interactions with all relevant stakeholders: BG account manager, other financial control teams (CCS, OCS, TP), Financial Shared Services, internal and external auditors, Lead Management Accountant and Business Partner.The role will also give the opportunity to manage a full trial balance to own the actuals.At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. Equal access to opportunities is a given, belonging is a shared feeling, authenticity is celebrated.Your key responsibilities :Ensures delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for the assigned reporting unit(s)Performs a sanity check of the PL and coordinates variances analysis compared to the actuals (e.g. prior month, quarter, or run-rate)Ensures integrity of financial Statements and management reports in accordance with DSM Accounting Rules, international and local statutory accounting standards.Performs Balance Sheet monitoring, incl. financial variance analysis and understanding of open itemsReviews integrity and quality of all sub ledgers (incl. balance reconciliation)Coordinates supporting documentation on accruals, provisions and special itemsMonitors the financial closing process:Leads the pre-close meeting and translates business development to DAR accountingOversees implementations like judgement-based accrualsActively monitors the closing process based on the financial closing cockpitDefines and follows up on mitigation actions in case of issues during the closing in order to ensure correct and complete actuals and meet defined deadlinesDrives the monthly evaluation meeting and follows up on occurred issues and defined improvements actionsSupports the business with the setting up of the budget and forecast cyclesUpload and lock budget and RAF data in CFINProvide reports for Provisions/AccrualsSupports Management Reporting BG/BU, Monthly Reporting Deck Forecast/Actuals and CashflowEnsures integrity of data used in management reports related to the legal entityEnsures compliance with DSM internal control requirementsMonitors the internal control framework on a monthly basis and follows up on remediation plansActs as Single point of contact for all internal and external auditsFollows up on financial audit findingsEnsures that assets and liabilities are correctly and completely recognizedEnsures that roles and responsibilities are in line with the (updated) ARIS flows and makes sure that processes are performed according to the approved standard House of Finance processesYou bring:(post) Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling, and/or licensed certified public accountant 4 years of experience in Accounting/ Controlling/AuditKnowledge and experience in a Shared Service environmentIn-depth understanding of Finance and Accounting processesExtensive knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (SAPR3)Fluent in English and in French .The application process:Interested in this position?
