As a Toxicologist Safety Assessor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety of innovative beauty products. You will be responsible for evaluating the safety of ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet regulatory standards and are safe for consumers to use.Responsibilities:Ingredient Safety Assessment: Assess the safety of raw materials and ingredients used in cosmetics to ensure they comply with safety regulations.Finished Product Safety Evaluation: Evaluate finished products for potential risks, ensuring they meet safety standards before being released to the market.Research and Development Support: Stay updated on cosmetic ingredient safety research and evaluate new ingredients for safety in product formulations.Safety Guidelines Creation: Develop safety guidelines and concentration limits for ingredients used in cosmetic products.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products comply with global cosmetic regulations and prepare safety documentation for regulatory filings.Communication and Reporting: Prepare safety reports and provide expert guidance to internal teams on product safety.Collaboration and External Partnerships: Work with external labs, dermatologists, and regulatory bodies to ensure safety protocols are met.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or a related field; certification in Toxicology is a plus.2-5 years of experience in toxicology or safety assessment, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry.Strong understanding of cosmetic ingredient safety, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.Proficiency in data analysis, scientific writing, and technical report preparation.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific information to cross-functional teams.Proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written).
