Officer</strong>, you will lead this function end-to-end and act as a key partner to the <strong>CFO</strong> and other senior leaders.</p> <h2><strong>🎯 Your Mission</strong></h2> <p>As <strong>Chief Accounting & Tax Officer</strong>, you will be responsible for <strong>organising, steering, and securing all accounting and tax activities</strong> for the Group, while leading and developing a team of around <strong>20 professionals</strong>.</p> <p>Your mission spans four main pillars:</p> <ol> <li><strong>Leadership & Organisation of the Accounting Function</strong> <ul> <li>Lead, structure, and mentor a <strong>team</strong> covering general accounting, technical insurance & reinsurance accounting, and tax</li> <li>Act as the <strong>guarantor of French GAAP accounting and quarterly/annual closings</strong> for all French entities.</li> <li>Oversee <strong>Group accounting</strong>, coordinating all quarterly and annual closings for the <strong>Big Wakam Group</strong> under French GAAP, in close collaboration with FP&A, Technical, Risk, and Data Management teams.</li> <li>Strengthen accounting processes and controls, particularly for <strong>reinsurance recognition and monitoring</strong>.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Statutory, Regulatory & Solvency II Reporting</strong> <ul> <li>Ensure the production of <strong>French GAAP statutory financial statements</strong> for French entities.</li> <li>Oversee the preparation and quality of <strong>Solvency II regulatory reporting</strong> for French entities, in line with regulatory expectations and Group timelines.</li> <li>Responsible for the production of financial reportings as requested by various stakeholders</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Tax Management & Compliance</strong> <ul> <li>Ensure that all <strong>tax returns (excluding payroll/social taxes)</strong> are prepared and filed accurately and on time, across all territories where the Group operates.</li> <li>Be the <strong>guarantor of the reliability</strong> of tax declarations (corporate income tax, VAT, insurance premium taxes such as TCA, etc.).</li> <li>Implement and maintain <strong>robust, optimised tax processes</strong>, aligned with Group governance and local regulations.</li> <li>Conduct <strong>regulatory watch</strong> on accounting and tax topics, coordinate communication to relevant teams, and drive <strong>optimisation and risk mitigation initiatives</strong>.</li> <li>Represent the Group in interactions with <strong>auditors and tax authorities</strong> during statutory audits and tax inspections.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Transformation & Cross-Functional Projects</strong> <ul> <li>Play an active role in the <strong>finance transformation roadmap</strong>, including major <strong>tool and system changes</strong> (new general ledger, consolidation tools, reporting solutions, etc.).</li> <li>Contribute your expertise to <strong>cross-functional projects</strong> that impact financial statements and financial communication at both entity and Group level.</li> </ul> </li> </ol> <h2><strong>🧠 What You Bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Extensive experience (15+ years)</strong> in Accounting, Consolidation, and Tax, within an <strong>insurance group or regulated financial institution</strong>.</li> <li>Proven track record in <strong>leading and structuring accounting teams</strong>, including at least several years in a <strong>Head of Accounting / Chief Accounting / Tax leadership</strong> position.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of <strong>French GAAP</strong> and strong familiarity with <strong>Solvency II</strong> reporting requirements.</li> <li>Solid experience with <strong>insurance and reinsurance technical accounting</strong>, including ceded business and related controls.</li> <li>Strong expertise in <strong>corporate taxation</strong> (CIT, VAT, insurance premium taxes / TCA, etc.) and <strong>tax process design</strong>.</li> <li>Experience in <strong>multi-entity, multi-country Group environments</strong>, ideally with consolidation exposure.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in <strong>finance transformation projects</strong> (system change, process re‑design, automation, data quality initiatives).</li> <li>Full professional proficiency in <strong>French and English</strong> (spoken and written).</li>
