This 6-month internship aims to start in February 2026.

This role is part of the Capital Management team, itself under the Group Treasurer responsibility. The Capital Management function is a strategic department of the Finance domain. The team has the ownership around internal capital actions governance, legal entities capital planning, external capital sourcing for SCOR SE (Debt
Capital Market, Contingent Capital), internal retrocession. The team also leads special projects: identifying capital issues and inefficiencies, analysing them, and proposing solutions or viable alternatives to management. Internal Retrocession refers to the practice of transferring or redistributing a portion of an insurer or reinsurer's risk within the same organization or group. This is done to optimize capital allocation, spread the risk exposure, and potentially reduce the need for external reinsurance.


Responsibilities:

As an intern within the Capital Management team, you will assist with the various processes to monitor and
optimise the company's capital. This will involve collecting and analysing data, maintaining or building financial models, and presenting your findings to senior members of the team. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to ad hoc projects and analyses (corporate structuring, debt capital market topics). By the end of the internship, you will have gained valuable experience in financial modelling and analysis, as well as a deeper understanding of the company's overall financial strategy.

Within the Capital Management team, you will be involved in developing and maintaining capital management processes, internal & external financing solutions and you will be in charge in particular of:
 

  • Producing presentations for Top Management and Board Members regarding Capital Management, and Financing at SCOR Group’s level or local entities level
  • Monitoring SCOR local entities Solvency and potential capital needs, as well as the internal dividend
    plan
  • Involvement in Debt Capital Market (DCM) topics (interacting with banks, pricing and leverage
    modelling)
  • Contributing to the recalibration of hedging positions related to the Free Shares Allocation (SAP) plan
  • Follow the internal retrocession strategy implementation including the review of contract wordings
    and consistency checks to identify potential issues
  • Projects: you will collaborate with various members of the Capital Management team on a diverse
    range of topics depending on current and new projects, the changes in the organisation or the
    economic environment, and the priorities of top management

  • Qualifications:

  • Graduating from a leading “Grandes Ecoles” in Finance and/or Engineering, or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Finance required, knowledge of the Insurance sector is a plus
  • Excellent technical skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Fluency in both English and French is required
  • Strong work ethic, analytical and synthesis skills, curiosity, and attention to detail
