We are seeking to recruit for its Legal Directorate (JU), Operational Policy, Mandates and Non‑EU Operations Department (OPS‑POL), Outside Europe A Division (OEU‑A), Latin America and Caribbean Unit (LAC) a Banking and Finance Lawyer – Spanish speaker. This is a full‑time position at grade 5 with a permanent contract.
The Outside Europe A (OEU‑A) Division deals with legal documentation and legal issues for projects in Neighbourhood Countries (South), Saharan and Sub‑Saharan Africa, Caribbean, Pacific, Asia, Latin America. The purpose of this position is to provide legal advice and support relating to lending (sovereign/bank/corporate), guarantee transactions, grants and post‑signature work for the EIB projects. In this role, you will handle activities ranging from standard loan agreements to complex structured finance and advanced legal matters.
