The Senior RD engineer will contribute to the development of the core services of the SimAI SaaS platform, using tools such as Python, Elixir, Rust, and Postgres. The role involves end-to-end tasks from problem definition to implementation, focusing on both incremental and far-ranging improvements in internal architecture.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnderstand customer requirementsDesign, implement, maintain and test backend servicesPerform bug qualification and release testingImprove performance of backend servicesEnsure advanced observability and service composabilityModularize backend architectureImprove infrastructure resilience using load testingMinimum Education/Certification Requirements and ExperienceBS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience, or PhD with 1-year experienceSoftware development experience in open-source software or a professional settingDeep knowledge of databases and experience with multiple programming languagesExperience with Python, Postgres, RabbitMQ, RedisPreferred Qualifications and SkillsTop-notch communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of elegant software designFamiliar with long-running jobs and asynchronous architecturesExperience with data-intensive applications and data pipelinesExperience with Rust and Elixir is a plusINCLUSION IS AT OUR COREWe believe diverse thinking leads to better outcomes.
