Our Award-Winning team at Side is looking for a passionate Audio Engineer to join our crew at our Paris Studio. Side has been producing best-in-class game audio for over 25 years and built an enviable portfolio and brand. Recent hit releases SIDE have provided dialogue services for include Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hitman III, Returnal, It Takes Two and more.

The ideal candidate for this role is excited about what we do, who we are and is ready to be a part of our growing business. As an Audio Engineer, you will be responsible for the smooth running of games dialogue recording sessions for a multitude of titles, from indie to AAA, helping to ensure the timely completion of agreed deliverables and milestones, to a very high standard. As an outsourcer it’s this that brings clients back, and it’s returning clients that keep the awards coming.

The successful candidate must have extensive client facing experience and a really solid all round technical background, as well as a good set of ears.

A day's work will primarily involve recording single voice dialogue for games but could also range from recording multiple actors to possibly recording head or reference camera video footage.

It is absolutely vital that candidates are sufficiently technically minded across the board (inclusive of IT) to be able to apply themselves to a range of skills and generally problem solve in a self-supporting manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer studio sessions – from wild dialogue recording to full ADR.
  • Prepare studio sessions’ assets such as audio and video reference files and dialogue scripts.
  • Maintain studios and studio equipment as is practicable.
  • Develop studio services, processes, and workflow as part of a global team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience as an engineer in a commercial post production recording studio, ideally working for some time with dialogue / ADR recording.
  • Experienced user of Pro Tools, Reaper, and other DAWs.
  • 100% comfortable with and enthused by audio / video / IT technology.
  • Excellent client facing and internal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Both a self-starter, able to work alone as and where necessary, a team player, able to help at all levels to get the job done.
  • Comfortable both taking instruction from senior members of staff and giving instruction to junior or freelance members of staff.
