Some weekend, holiday or night coverage may be required. /p h3Morristown Hamblen Overview /h3 pMorristown-Hamblen Healthcare System has 167 licensed beds and 23 emergency suites. The hospital offers outstanding ancillary services including Laboratory, Radiology and Therapy services. At our Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, women can have their annual mammograms, biopsies, and can meet with a nurse navigator if needed. The Women’s Center offers six newly remodeled labor and delivery suites and has a secure nursery for the care of our newborns. It serves an eight-county region in the Lakeway Area and is equipped with modern technologies and expert staff to provide the best possible patient care. Learn more about our amazing facility at /p h3Position Summary /h3 pA registered nurse who directs and coordinates administrative activities on a specified tour of duty; referring patient care problems to appropriate nursing staff member and/or non-nursing problems to the appropriate department head. /p pRecruiter: Jennifer Lawless || /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liReviews staffing each shift for each unit. /li liAssists charge nurse to assure adequate staffing when there is a problem. /li liMakes rounds and provides managerial presence. /li liAssists new personnel and acts as a resource to the nursing staff. /li liAssists with procedures when staff has difficulty. /li liActs as advocate to find resources such as supplies as needed. /li liListen to staff problems and effectively resolve conflict as necessary. /li liResponds to safety codes when necessary. /li liProvides information to nurse managers regarding quality and employee problems. /li liResolves patient/family complaints when necessary. /li liFollows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. /li liPerforms other duties as assigned. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Minimum Education: /h3 pNone specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. /p h3Minimum Experience: /h3 pThree (3) years of clinical experience and experience in the teaching of nursing is desired. /p h3Licensure Requirement: /h3 pCurrent Tennessee RN license.
