Senior Manager – Accounting Advisory

Senior Managers at CFGI work closely with the C-level management of CAC 40, mid-cap, and start-up companies. They lead project teams and collaborate with clients and their external auditors (including Big 4 firms) on all aspects of engagements, from report writing to developing client relationships and driving business development.

What you might expect:

  1. Interact with clients’ executive team and auditors, serving as a subject matter expert, leading clients through complex accounting issues and driving conclusions.
  2. Lead client engagement and own client delivery on operational due diligence for complex transactions (i.e. – IPO’s, acquisitions and divestitures, stock offerings, debt raises).
  3. Drive client deliverables of financial and regulatory information in accordance IFRS standards and meeting regulatory requirements of French and EU markets (i.e., AMF filings, ESEF compliance, and EU financial disclosure).
  4. Serve as a subject matter expert on projects related to new IFRS standards and other European accounting regulations.
  5. Lead process improvement projects and implementation of changes.
  6. Mentor managers and consultants, acting as a moral and ethical model, fostering engagement team professional growth, and providing constructive and actionable feedback.
  7. Lead firm initiatives and identify areas for improvements.
  8. Play an active role in the firm’s recruiting efforts, client relationship building and business development efforts.

Who you are:

  1. An undergraduate degree in Accounting – A French accounting designation (e.g., DEC, DSCG) or a CPA and/or MBA is highly preferred.
  2. At least eight years of experience in public accounting or industry accounting/finance.
  3. Strong knowledge of French GAAP, IFRS, and U.S. GAAP, with familiarity in SEC reporting being a plus.
  4. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to integrate seamlessly into teams and interact effectively with clients and auditors.
  5. Ability to identify client needs and deliver solutions, building strong and trusted client relationships.
  6. Strong analytical skills and the ability to lead client engagements and drive successful outcomes.
  7. Highly organized, focused, and able to set clear expectations and direction for your team.
  8. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, ethical, and dependable, with a high energy level and a commitment to delivering quality service.
