Why we need this role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role plays a key strategic part in shaping and driving the global sales strategy across a portfolio of multinational enterprise accounts.
You’ll use your commercial acumen, strong market insight, and ability to influence at executive level to partner with Sales, Service, and Sales Engineering teams ensuring sustainable account growth and exceptional customer satisfaction.
As an Account Manager, you will take full ownership of your prospect and customer portfolio, leading the global account strategy, building robust account plans, and coordinating the wider account team to deliver results.
What you will do
Responsible for managing business development activities for high-profile global accounts that lead to the expansion and growth of new business. Develop existing business and executive-level client relationships, cultivate new relationships to uncover new opportunities, develop solutions, and sell strategic Colt services.
Build strong relationships and structured contact plans across all three levels of the customer organisation (operational, management, and executive) in all regions.
Develop global account management plans based on industry trends and customer analysis, including executive profiles and continuous study of assigned accounts, their industry, business, and emerging trends.
Use strong engagement and influencing skills to establish account strategy with key stakeholders (focus of power, focus of receptivity, and focus of dissatisfaction) within each account.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of Colt’s full product suite and position solutions effectively.
Create customer-facing versions of global account plans to gather input and foster a sense of shared ownership of long-term strategy.
Prepare sales forecasts, account status reports, and recommendations to enhance account growth and maximise revenue potential.
Manage the financial and operational performance of global and regional accounts and participate in contract negotiations as required.
Build a strong internal network across geographies to ensure a coordinated and collaborative approach to managing global accounts.

What we’re looking for
Skills & Experience
Experience successfully selling strategic international solutions to large customers within the Telecommunications and/or IT Systems Integration industries, or a related discipline
Experience leading global contractual, financial, and commercial discussions
Familiarity with account strategy and global account management governance
Experience leading and managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously
In‑depth knowledge of the latest trends in technology sales methodologies and approaches
Person Specification
A proven track record in consultative solution selling, supported by broad industry knowledge and relevant expertise
Exceptional relationship‑management skills at C‑level
Existing relationships with large multinational clients
Willingness to travel internationally as required
Ability to work effectively in a highly ambiguous, agile environment
Proven ability to balance competing demands and priorities, and to operate independently while building a successful sales pipeline
